Humming turns the tide

Some days we wake up and feel off. It is an indicator, a tool to be used. It let's us know where are focus is. When your feeling less than great it is simply an opportunity to become aware of your thoughts and make a choice.  In the beginning this choice may seem difficult. How can you stop thinking about something that is making you feel bad, especially if it an issue is close to your heart?
First you must recognize that you do want to feel better and know that when you do feel better, this thing may not feel as bad. A quick, easy way to shut of the bad feeling thought is just to hum to your self, you do not have to try to just jump into thinking about something else. Make a conscious choice to let the thought go and focus on your hum, a note I often use is Ohm, but anything will do even, lalalalalalala. No you don't have to do this out loud! When you first begin doing this you may notice yourself going back to thinking of the thing your attempting to let go of, don't let yourself become discouraged or upset, just take notice that your back on the thought, let it go again and hum. Soon you will find a new thought come to mind, another topic will find it's way to the surface. When you find a new thought that feels better then the one you were letting go of you can jump for joy! You have now intentionally taken charge of how you feel! With practice this technique can help you jump from a low level thought to a higher level thought with minimal effort, and is very effective.

Have you used this technique? What did you think? How did you feel before and after using this? Would you recommend this to your friends and family?  Your comments are always appreciated!
