What is Reiki

Reiki is a hands on healing, allowing Ki (Chi) energy to pass through the facilitator to the client. Though hands on healing is the primary form of Reiki some practitioners may choose to keep their hands a few inches above the body if they or the client would prefer. When you chose to have me personally facilitate Reiki I use both methods depending on your preference and what I am personally feeling as I work with you. I have trained in the traditional form of Usui Shiki Ryoho Healing Therapy.
During your session I will scan your body for blocked energy areas. This area usually feels slightly different then surrounding areas almost as though you have a cloud hanging over it. I will then sit toward the head of the table and prepare your energy field to receive this new energy. This is a wonderful time for you to relax and let go of tension, or take a nap. I will then begin working on areas where I have felt this heavier energy allowing it to release and filling it with healing energy of light (Ki).
When receiving a private in home session I will need about 5 mins to set up my table and will ask to play music on your personal sound system or I will bring my own. The music is used for many reasons, it is a form of therapy in itself and is meditative in nature. I also use a white sage to cleans the table of residual energy, if you have sensitivity to smell please inform me so that I may bring one of my other clearing tools. Aroma therapy is also used during my treatments as an additional form of relaxation, this can be from the sage used for clearing as well as incense, if you would enjoy it. I ask for in home session that you provide a pillow and if you would like, a blanket. Once you are comfortably on the table you may fully relax in any way you would like. At the end of our session lasting approximately one hour. I will gently let you know that we are done, you may take your time to get up, which is suggested.
If you would like further detail on Reiki, or my sessions, I welcome you to call or email me.
